Who should not use aloe vera
There are no specific contraindications when using aloe vera. However, we cannot rule out an individual allergic reaction, which some people may experience (although this is extremely rare).
People with allergies to garlic, onions, and tulips are also prone to allergies to aloe vera.
As such, it's always wise to do a preliminary test when considering a skin care product you're unfamiliar with.
Some people can't tolerate aloe vera juice either, myself included. I felt really bad when I started taking the juice to improve my overall health.
If you have decided to take aloe vera internally, read the product label and familiarize yourself with the side effects. Stop using the product immediately if you feel any discomfort.
Also, as a general rule, do not use aloe supplements, even if you are pregnant and/or nursing. Always consult your doctor before taking vitamins or supplements during this time.

Layers of aloe vera with skin care products
Let's explore aloe vera beauty products while applying our skin care products in our daily routine. I am a strong advocate of layering skin care products. It has completely transformed my skin in the last 2 years and I really hope it helps you too.
In my opinion, layering products help with:
- effective cleansing by removing impurities and dirt from the skin without destroying the outer protective layer of the skin;
- lighten a dull skin tone; a dull grayish skin tone makes us look old and sick;
- fight acne, nails and pimples;
- Hydration, hydration, hydration! I firmly believe that proper hydration is key to looking young, healthy and glowing.
However, you should always "listen" to your skin and not overdo the products. For example, I know mine.first fogIn summer, no moisturizer or cream is needed in the morning. When I put that extra layer on my skin becomes very oily, it looks congested and stuffy.
Aloe vera products in summer
Products with aloe vera are perfect during the hot summer months when you don't want to get too much product on your skin. You see, aloe vera is mainly used in gel form in skin care. That is why there are products with the highest concentration of aloe vera in gel form.
The gels are very light, do not leave a sticky residue on the skin and are easily absorbed.
Aloe vera products in winter
In winter, I would not recommend using aloe vera gel before going outside. If you've read my post on winter skin care, you'll learn not to use moisturizing and hydrating products before heading out into the cold. The water in your moisturizers can freeze in the open air and damage the outer layer of skin.
However, aloe vera gel is great during the winter months when you are indoors. Moisturizes dehydrated skin and reduces redness and irritation caused by heaters and extreme outdoor weather.
